CLAIRE is intended to support more complete and transparent reporting of AI-based diagnostic imaging research and consistent appraisal by authors, reviewers, editors and readers.

Journals, scientific societies, research organizations and other stakeholders may express interest in recommending, endorsing or implementing CLAIRE. Future guidance will include model editorial wording, implementation advice, version identification, decision dates and scope, and a public record of formally participating organizations.

Endorsement of CLAIRE does not establish that a study following it is methodologically valid or at low risk of bias. Informal interest, individual participation and formal institutional decisions will be clearly differentiated.
